Quilt Show wrap-up

I was going to post lots of lovely pictures of quilts from our show last weekend and my camera battery died on me after taking only one shot. So I am glad one of my other guild friends posted some on her blog so I can redirect you to here and to here.

I was in charge of the hanging crew for this show and I have to tell you that 390 quilts went up in 3 hours and they came down in 45 minutes-all without incident. What an amazing feat by an amazing committee. We have our post-show steering committee meeting this coming Tuesday, so I am looking forward to hearing more details from the show. I do know that we raised almost $3,000 for Alzheimers of Central Alabama through our silent auction. Way to go!

It is 93F here today and I cut the grass in my backyard while it was still shady. Guess the rest of the day will be sitting around staying cool. I hope to get back to quilting. I am desperately missing my sewing!

I popped over briefly to check out the pictures. Looks like a great show!
