Thrifty Thursday

I have been looking for something to use for a table in front of the wicker sofa on my porch. The sofa was a Christmas present I bought for my dad to give me. He lets us do that since he can't do any shopping anymore. I'll show it to you once I get it reupholstered.

I wanted to find a base for a slab of marble I rescued from the porch next door when the bank emptied the house upon foreclosure. It would have gone in the trash! The slab had been my temporary solution, but I had to use my recycling bin as a base since it was the only thing low enough and sturdy enough to support it. It wasn't ideal.

But then I found this great wicker table at the Briarwood sale the end of July. And it was already painted black, which made it much easier to purchase. That and the price.

wicker coffee table = $15.00

Love the wicker table. Also, love the boiled peanuts and wine sign! My dad would get a kick out of that.
